The Invercargill inner-city redevelopment is a visionary project that will bring life and vitality to the CBD, by replacing a full inner city block with a new centre comprising retail, food and beverage, offices, apartments and more. Successful delivery of the redevelopment requires the support of the Invercargill public, and to this end the developer, HWCP engaged us to provide a comprehensive communications service to assist in maintaining positive public perception.
We established a logo and brand style to ensure all collateral is instantly recognisable. A website was developed to provide a single source of information on the project, and a pop-up shop was created to allow the public to engage with the plans. Media releases, media management, public enquiry management, event co-ordination and video production were also included as part of the initial stage. Feedback surveys and a naming competition have been conducted to further public engagement.
This is an ongoing engagement and further communications support will be provided throughout the planning, demolition and rebuild stages.
