Blue Sky Meats has a proud history in Southland; it has been successfully operating for more than 30 years. Whilst this has been built on its reputation for doing a good job, to continue to succeed in an increasingly competitive market, there is a need to actively manage the communication of its brand story to its various stakeholder audience including suppliers, shareholders and customers.
The Blue Sky Meats story has its roots in the New Zealand Story and its location in Southland is an important part of this; the bluest skies and the greenest grass producing the highest quality meat. As a boutique processor, they have the advantage of being nimble and able to react quickly to market demand.
We were engaged to develop an identifiable look and feel for all Blue Sky Meats marketing and communications material and assist with the creation and dissemination of positive stories about the company in the public arena.
We established a look and feel based on a rural epic concept. Srong, contemporary slab serif fonts are paired with imagery of green pastures and blue skies.
This imagery has been applied across advertising campaigns, signage, newsletter templates and other material. The milestone of 30 years in business was celebrated and the company’s strategy for growth has been shared through media releases and editorial targeting the broad audience of stakeholders, with a goal of fostering pride and confidence in the company’s performance through the years.
A new website is in development to provide an informative hub for all stakeholders, and we are providing ongoing assistance with the development of marketing material and PR management.
