Barnes Wild Bluff Oysters is an iconic Southland company providing seafood lovers across the country with the best and freshest Bluff Oysters from Foveaux Strait.
With a growing number of farmed oysters hitting the market, Barnes' challenge was to differentiate their superior, wild product. They came to us to review their branding which had become dated and didn't accurately represent the prestigious, gourmet reputation of their product.
They also wanted a company website to showcase their unique product, processes and approach to sustainable fisheries along with up to date recipes and news.
We began by defining the brand values: natural and wild, exclusive, superior, professional, specialists, industry leading, sustainable, transparent.
From this we evolved Barnes Oysters into Barnes Wild Bluff Oysters and created an elegant, sophisticated and contemporary logo to represent the company's brand values.
The brand launched in time for their 2015 oyster season. The new look was applied to the company's building signage, stationery, printed and promotional material and a new company website was create to ensure a consistent brand experience at every touch-point with their customers. We also created a short video to tell the unique story of their product’s journey from sea to plate.
Their new brand has seen Barnes receive significant national media coverage.
